Getting Started
Claim protects land in 16x16 chunk units. You claim the chunk you are standing in, then manage that chunk from the claim menus.
You can only claim in the main Echelon world and its Nether counterpart. Spawn and lobby areas are not claimable.
By default, only you can build in your claims. Team members and trusted builders can also be allowed based on your setup.

Claim Cost And Refunds
- Your next claim price is shown directly in the
/claimmenu. - Price scales up in tiers as you own more chunks and is capped at 1,000 Echelites per claim.
- Unclaiming a chunk refunds its purchase value back to you.
- Unclaim Everything refunds all owned chunks and requires two separate confirmations for safety.
- Constant Claim stops automatically if you cannot afford the next chunk.
Main Menus
The claim system is menu-driven. Most players use /claim and then navigate from there.
| Menu Area | What You Do There |
|---|---|
| Main Claim Menu | Claim/unclaim current chunk, show borders, open settings, open owned chunk list, toggle claim flight, check balance |
| Owned Chunks List | Browse all your claims and open each chunk's action panel |
| Chunk Actions | Rename, add description, chunk settings, set teleport point, teleport, set public/private, renew, designate trusted builders, unclaim |
| Default Settings | Set your global protection defaults across claims |
| Chunk Settings | Override defaults for only one chunk or for the chunk's bundle |
| Renew Claim | Extend expiration for current chunk or all chunks, and manage Decay Sync |
Chunk rename and description are entered through a sign prompt. Name limit is 32 characters, description limit is 80 characters.
Claim Teleports
- Private claim teleports (owner/team flow) cost 100 Echelites.
- You can set a custom teleport point, but you must stand inside that chunk to save it.
- If no custom point is set, teleport lands near chunk center.
- Private/team chunk teleport requires claim teleport unlock from Echelon Voting.
- If not unlocked, you will get a lock message telling you to unlock it for 5 vote points.
Public Chunks
You can mark a claim public from Chunk Actions. Public chunks can be discovered and used through /publics.
| Public Chunk Action | Player Experience |
|---|---|
| Teleport | Visitor pays 50 Echelites, claim owner receives 25 Echelites |
| Rate | Players can vote up or down; changing vote direction updates totals |
| Visibility | Public chunks appear in the public list with name, description, votes, and usage data |
Expiration, Renewals, And Decay Sync
Claims expire unless renewed. New claims start with a two-week expiration window.
- Renew current chunk: +1 day (5), +1 week (25), +1 month (75).
- Renew all chunks uses the same rates multiplied by your total claim count.
- If a claim expires, it is unclaimed automatically and refunded to the owner.
Decay Sync
- Decay Sync aligns all your claim expirations to one shared expiry time.
- Sync target is a 3-month anchor using 7:00 PM Eastern timing.
- Enabling sync can charge or refund Echelites based on your current expiration alignment.
- While sync is enabled, manual renewal buttons are locked.
- Sync upkeep charges 5 Echelites per claim per day as catch-up is processed.
- If you cannot pay upkeep, retry is delayed and claims can eventually unclaim at expiry if not funded.
Trusted Builders
Trusted builders are chunk-specific. Use the Designate menu inside Chunk Actions to manage them.
- Allow a player to build: Add a player as trusted for that chunk.
- Remove a player from building: Remove trusted access from that chunk.
- Trusted players are handled as allowed builders in that chunk.
- Team members are also treated as allowed for team-owned claims.
Protection Settings
You can set defaults globally, then override individual chunks or bundles when needed.
| Setting | What It Controls |
|---|---|
| TNT Explosions | Allow or block TNT explosion damage in your land |
| Creeper Explosions | Allow or block creeper explosion damage (first protection enable costs 200 Echelites) |
| Allow Right Clicking | Allow outsiders to use most right-click interactions in your chunk |
| Allow Chests | Allow outsiders to open chest-type storage (separate from general right-click) |
| Pet/Villager Protection | Protect tamed pets and villagers from damage in your claim |
| Crops Protection | Block farmland trampling and crop-related grief |
| Allow Fire Spread | Enable or disable natural fire spread/burn behavior |
| Freeze Fluids | Block liquid flow into your protected chunk area |
| Prevent Sethome | Stop non-owners from setting home inside your claim |
| Prevent Raids | Block raid triggers in claimed chunks |
| Border Colors | Choose separate border colors for your own claims and teammate claims |
Mob Controls
Mob controls let you allow or block specific mob spawns using a full paged list.
- Mob blocking can be set globally, per chunk, or per bundle.
- Disabling a mob is a two-click confirmation action.
- Blocked mobs are prevented from spawning in protected land.
- Already present blocked mobs are purged from affected claimed chunks.
Chunk Bundles
Bundles let you manage multiple claims as one shared settings group.
- You need at least 2 unbundled chunks to create a new bundle.
- You can add, move, remove, and rename bundle membership from bundle management menus.
- Bundle settings apply to all chunks in that bundle.
- Removing a chunk from a bundle keeps the bundle's current settings on that chunk as its new local overrides.
Borders And Claim Flight
Borders
- Claim borders can be toggled from the main claim menu.
- Border visibility runs on a timed window (about 60 seconds) with a countdown bar.
- New claims can still show a quick border indicator even when persistent border mode is off.
- You can cycle your personal border color and teammate border color separately.
Claim Flight
- Claim Flight unlocks at 100 owned claims.
- When enabled, flight is available in your own claims and team-allowed claims.
- Leaving allowed land starts a short grace period before flight is disabled.
- You can toggle claim flight from the main claim menu at any time.
Protection Rules And Exceptions
- Breaking and placing blocks in someone else's protected claim is blocked.
- Item frame, painting, and armor stand grief is blocked for non-owners/non-team.
- Right-click access follows your claim settings, with chest access controlled separately.
- Bows and fishing are also restricted for non-allowed players when right-click is locked down.
- External redstone power cannot force doors/trapdoors/gates if right-click access is disabled there.
- Food, potions, milk, suspicious stew, and fireworks remain usable even when right-click is restricted.
