ECHELON UPDATES

Hello and welcome to Echelon!

We are a completely non-pay to win server that will only ever continue to update. With a extremely active development team to save the day every day, we strive for excellence. With this being release 1.0, we will expect hiccups as we can not directly test everything that is included in the base foundation of Echelon. We do hope that you as our dedicated players let us know when you see or experience anything not up to par (or game breaking.)

Here you will find quite a lot of brand new and custom features built for you as players in mind. As a long term Minecrafter myself, I know how "big" some servers feel. We do not want to feel like that. We want to make sure everything is streamlined and easy to follow. Guides galore will be made over time as we add more and more requested features.

Now what makes us truly different? Well thats easy. Custom! We hand craft every single additional feature you see. Nothing is copy pasted from a plugin that was created by someone else. Nothing on this server will be 1:1 with another server outside of common command names. We want to be different so you can hit your Minecraft itch again! Now whats all included in this current base?

Automatic Path creation

While you walk around, you will start to see coarse blocks automatically start forming right under your feet.

The more you walk around, the more they will turn into path blocks! This is a subtle yet impactful feature that you can benefit from if you are going for the more realistic vibe.

But now you may be thinking, "What if i don't want path blocks when i walk?" Just type /toggle and boom! You can turn it off/on whenever you would like.

Command Controller

This is a very simple feature that just removes all the server side commands that you can not access anyways. This will not effect your client side commands in any way.

Did you know?

This feature will randomly select a list of Did you know facts and post them in game for you. This ranges in information about things you absolutely already knew and things you may not have known hence the name of this feature. It would look something like the below;

Spawn

This is a common command you will see with basically every other server out there. This is working in the same way basically as every other server as well as this was really the only feature that I could not think of a better way to do it. When you arrive at /spawn you will be facing the 5 NPCs which are custom to Echelon. Below are the NPCs in detail;

Echelon info

• This NPC will give you some basic information about the server itself.

Echelon Guide

• This NPC will give you some basic information about all the features in the event you wish to not read the discord.

Echelon Store

• This is the option to donate to the server if you ever so desire. Is it required? No but it does help ensure the server stays online and continues to drive me to develop more and more cool features!
• I made a few custom pets for you to purchase if you would like to spend something on it. Also some perks for Name colors to show you supported the server! (Pets are only cosmetic. No advantages from having any of the pets and Ronnie is a free pet!)

Echelite Store

• This is where you can spend your Echelites on items/perks. The current 2 are the Bagalon (Thought of by my Wife) and the Echeload.
• Bagalon is basically a early level shulker box.
• Echeload will load the chunk you place it in.
• /sethome with allow you to set home to teleport back and forth to. (Can buy multiple of them increasing in cost.)

Minigames

• Currently a WIP so no need to worry here!

While at spawn you can enjoy some jukebox music that will randomly play. Some of it is scary so be on the lookout!

Discord Features

Currently for player based, this is limited to the chatting and linking of discord accounts and in-game. Chatting from ingame will have a cook webhook message that looks like its from your player!

When chatting from discord to in game, you will see your on discord in game and what your highest role is from discord.

Echelite Harvester

This allows you to receive Echelites which are a only earned in-game currency which you earn from just playing and breaking blocks! This would be spent at the before mentioned Echelite Store;

Heres the items currently;

• Bagalon which costs 1,000 Echelites and provides you another inventory worth of space.
• Echeload which costs 50,000 Echelites and lets you load any chunk you place it in for 24 hours. After 24 hours, pick it up and replace it to start it again.
• /sethome which starts at a cost of 1,000 Echelites. You can run the command /sethome and name your home then use /home $name to teleport back. With this you can purchase more homes which the cost increases the more you buy.
• 1,000 for the first purchase
• 1,000 additional for the 2nd purchase
• 2,500 additional for the 3rd purchase
• 5,000 additional
• 10,000 additional
• 15,000 additional
• 25,000 additional
• 50,000 additional
• 80,000 additional
• 100,000 additional for the 10th purchase
• 100,000 additional for all other purchases from 11 to the max amount of 20.
• Decapitator costs a base of just 100 Echelites for a 1% chance to receive mob heads and scales in cost the higher the tier.
• 1,000 additional for 10%
• 2,500 additional for 20%
• 3,000 additional for 30%
• 10,000 additional for 50%

Echelon Pets

Don't be scared, I already said these guys were non-game impacting! I needed to add something that people would want to buy with real money. The good news is that Ronnie is FREE! Buy him instantly at the spawn.

These pets will follow you anywhere you go. Show them off! The movement is flushed decently but as the server improves more and more, it will also! Look how cute Ronnie is

Endermen

Nothing really big here, just removed their ability to pick up blocks! Build in peace.

Land Claiming

Its not a proper SMP/Survival without some land claiming huh? You can claim land for as low as 500 Echelites. This price increases per chunk you claim. Technically there is no limit to the amount of chunks you can claim however, it will get expensive. You can unclaim chunks for half of what you spent. To claim chunks just do /claim. This is the same to unclaim the chunks. Doing so will prompt you with a nice little interface;

The first option will allow you to claim/unclaim chunks. The second option will allow you to show/hide your claimed chunk effects that show you what chunks you have claimed, the 3rd will tell you how many chunks you have claimed and the 4th will show you how many Echelites you have. The far option will close the interface.

Ranks/Tiers

I know what your thinking... Oh god donation required ranks??? Don't worry, this is just to staple those who have supported me and the server. Theres no real "benefit" to this. -# currently... Kidding of course, there will be cosmetics and more over time but for those who do not have money to donate, don't worry. Not only will there be ways to earn ranks/Echelars just be playing but you are not missing key gameplay features.

There is 6 Tiers to this and I made 6 so those with deep pockets can still shine!

The colors are the main difference at this time and are purchased in game. They give you the rank in discord if you are linked and the color in game with the tag.

Teleporting

You can use /tp [name] to request to teleport to players in game. Doing so would require that they accept your tp request. Once accepted you will instantly teleport to the user.

Discord Linking

Visiting <#1445972631969857656> will let you create a link code then type /link in game to link! This gives you any Ranks/Tier you may have and will have much more functionality in the future. (Like boasting stats and saving information to your discord directly from in game.)

Suggestions

Now suggestions are huge here. We NEED your suggestions to continue to improve. As a result for every suggestion you put out that makes it into the game, not only did you help shape the server for the better, but you also will receive a Echelar completely free! So the plan should be play/suggest/play more!

To suggest a new feature to Echelon, just type in /suggest and fill out the book. This will automatically post to the suggestions channel in discord for everyone to vote on. If I vote, the suggestion will be routed where I can view it more on the backend to either add/deny it. You wont know if your suggestion was liked/disliked unless you ask me directly or wait to see if it was added from the <#1440156370081939574> channel!

Summary

We have a lot of cool stuff already and plan to add WAY more stuff. (Time was kind of cut short from when development started and when I wanted to put the server online. We plan to add some new things like;

• Minigames such as hide-n-seek | Parkour | Building Contests | And More
• Team building like factions/parties/guilds
• Rankings for top players
• Collections that you can earn in game
• And so so very much more. This is literally the tip of the iceberg.

Some quick notes;

We will be making a tentative update schedule of once a week. The server is still very new in development, I am sure we will need to do hot fixes every so often in-between the large updates. Features that are not currently in the base but will be in a soon to be released "patch";

• Party/Factions
• A minigame that will be later determined.
• Voting and rewards associated with voting.
